Bobbing for Apples

These kinds of Apples, that is.

I'll be sitting, like a complete dumbass, outside the local AT&T store for one of these puppies Thursday night.

Yes, my dad has already pointed out all the negative things about this phone.

No, as you've probably guessed, I don't really give a shit.

The rumor is that 3G is headed to this area, and well, I want a phone that I can browse the internet with. Having a built in iPod won't hurt either.

This is the puppy to have for your one-stop mobile media needs. It's like the Wal-Mart of cellphones.

I am looking for adventurous souls to join me in my quest to get an iPhone 3G. You don't have to buy one, of course. Just sit with me outside some random AT&T store and pass the time until 8 AM, when the global official release of the iPhone 3G occurs.

Any takers?

The Day We Celebrate Our Independence Day

OK, serious business for a moment.

I hope you reflected today on those you liberties and freedoms you have because good men have died protecting you from folks that want to remove those liberties from you.

You live in a special place, folks.

Let's work to leave it better off than we found it.

Liberty and Justice for All.

Cure for Cancer?

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080627/cancer_trial_080627/20080628?hub=TopStories

That's right, friends. A very strong possibility of a cure for cancer.

And if you tell me you aren't excited, I'll tell you that you're full of shit. Think about all the people you know that have cancer or have had cancer, and the possibility that the disease could be easily overcome.

Excites the hell out of me...but maybe I'm biased since this is my future career and all.

Read the article for the full skinny if you're interested (which I highly recommend you do).

Moving to more immediate matters, I need someone to go see Wall-E with. I hear its a spectacular adventure.

Anybody up for it?

Blue Glory

Physics Exam Grades:
102

101
80 (I said "To hell with it" and went to see Get Smart instead of studying)

103

Result:
Physics I has been conquered.

Now, on with summer.

It should prove to be an interesting few months before school begins.

Hopefully I will have a place come August. I look for
ward to the independence.

I'll try to write in this thing more often when I have shit to talk about.

I might talk about the weather next time. It's getting ridiculous. Almost to the point where this guy might show up...

Cone of Silence

Yeah, so the blog's been quiet.

Why? Well, to be frank, there's really nothing to write about.

Sure, I could go politico on you, but I don't think that would be very interesting.

Physics is almost over, thank God. I'm in a very good position in that class, so no worries.

I have rediscovered my affection for PC gaming in recent days. I just prefer it in every way to the console. Sadly, all my friends play games on the consoles, so I have to try to do both.

Its too expensive. I'm probably going to kick the console habit and just stay with my PC. 40 bucks for a good PC game as opposed to a 60 dollar game for a new Xbox game...to hell with that.

If you're looking for a good film to see, I highly recommend Get Smart. Not stellar, but worth your time.

I'd like to go somewhere fun this summer, but due to the shortage of a certain hydrocarbon compound, its extremely difficult to do so. Whenever your entire global economy is based around a singular fuel source and the supply of it starts running low, shit happens.

Where's my damn hydrogen car?

Summer with Stanley

So. It's summer with Stanley, definitely.

To the uninitiated, I speak about physics at Louisiana College.

It's definitely difficult; that's mainly because I'm having to brush off my trig and he teaches at a blistering speed.

Physics is taking common sense stuff and putting mathematics to it to make it more exact. It's enough to make you want to jump off a building.

For instance, you know that if you jump off aforementioned building, you're going to fall down and probably die.

Physics can tell you how fast you'll accelerate while falling, how fast you'll be going when you hit the ground, and why you fell in the first place.

But all that matters in real life is the fact that you were dumb enough to jump off a twenty story building and you fell and you died.

But at least you'll know how fast you were going.
