Summer with Stanley

So. It's summer with Stanley, definitely.

To the uninitiated, I speak about physics at Louisiana College.

It's definitely difficult; that's mainly because I'm having to brush off my trig and he teaches at a blistering speed.

Physics is taking common sense stuff and putting mathematics to it to make it more exact. It's enough to make you want to jump off a building.

For instance, you know that if you jump off aforementioned building, you're going to fall down and probably die.

Physics can tell you how fast you'll accelerate while falling, how fast you'll be going when you hit the ground, and why you fell in the first place.

But all that matters in real life is the fact that you were dumb enough to jump off a twenty story building and you fell and you died.

But at least you'll know how fast you were going.

There are other reasons for physics as well. Ya know, in case you get going close to the speed of light, you'll know how much older your friends will be than you are when you slow down. Yeah, I love "Applied" sciences ;)
